About us

Kate and Jo are highly regarded in the early years industry and are regularly asked to contribute their views to professional journals and to speak at sector events. They work with a number of settings around the country and are highly sought after in the industry due to their different backgrounds….

Jo Caswell and Kate Peach are the perfect combination.

Jo has been a nursery manager and Reception class teacher and then worked for Ofsted for over 20 years, progressing to the role of one of Her Majesty’s Inspectors for Early Years. During her career with Ofsted, she also led the early years team in the south east region and was responsible for the training and development of inspectors.

Jo has an absolute passion for supporting settings and ensuring children get the very best possible care, all day, every day. In 2019, Jo left Ofsted to follow this passion. She wanted to be more instrumental in guiding and supporting settings to realise their full potential. Jo established her own early years consultancy and now spends her time supporting settings, delivering a bespoke range of training. Jo’s name is well-known in the sector, and she often gets asked to write articles for different journals and attend sector events.

Coming from totally opposing backgrounds, their skills, expertise, and attributes blend seamlessly.

Kate Peach has been equally progressive in her career in early years. Starting off as a young, ambitious nanny in New York, Kate knew her heart was in nurseries. She returned to the UK once her contract had finished and set about working up the career ladder. She quickly established a name for herself in the industry and worked for one of the leading early years companies at the time, progressing from nursery practitioner to manager, training director, managing director and then the CEO! Once Kate has her sights set on something, nothing holds her back!

Kate is widely known and highly respected in the early years sector. She has an international reputation for seeking excellence in early years and draws on her wealth of experience to share with her own team and the clients she works with. Kate has her own successful group of nurseries and also oversees the management of other chains for individual clients. She divides her time skilfully and works closely with Jo in their new venture of Peachwell.

Peachwell is something both Jo and Kate are very passionate about. They know from first-hand experience how tough it is in the early years sector right now.

Jo and Kate want to challenge practice and encourage a positive, proactive way of working. They work closely with all their clients to target their expertise where it is most needed and where they can deliver best value for money, but, more importantly, best impact for young children. This might be through focused quality audit checks, leadership mentoring, bespoke training for staff, curriculum development and new business support.

At Peachwell, no job is too small. If it involves early years, Jo and Kate are here to help. Please get in touch to discuss your requirements and arrange a meeting with the fabulous duo…

“How one handles success of failure is determined by their early childhood.”
